استقبل سماحة السيد عمار الحكيم وفد اتحاد الإعلام الخليجي المشاركين في المؤتمر العام للاتحاد الخليجي للإعلام في دورته الأولى، وأكد مضامين ما طرحنه في كلمته بالمؤتمر، وقال إن العراق في الواقع يختلف عن العراق الذي تصوره بعض الفضائيات والمنصات الإعلامية، وأكد أهمية هذه اللقاءات لتعزيز العلاقات بين العراق والشعوب العربية والخليجية.أكدنا أيضًا أهمية أن يتناول الإعلام القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وبيّن أن التحديات ليست خارجية فقط، وإنما هناك تحديات داخلية تواجهها مجتمعاتنا، وصحة الخطاب الإعلامي هي أحد أهم أدوات المعالجة.قلنا أيضًا أن العراق منفتح على واقعه العربي والإقليمي والدولي، ويسعى لإقامة أفضل العلاقات وفق المصالح المشتركة وحفظ سيادته، كما أشدنا ببطولة خليجي ٢٥ وما تركته من أثر في نفوس الضيوف والمستضيفين

.This evening, we received a delegation from the Gulf Media Union to our office as they took part in the Union’s first General Conference. We reaffirmed the key messages from our conference speech, stressing that Iraq’s reality is different from the image portrayed by some media platforms. We also emphasized the importance of such gatherings in strengthening relations between Iraq and the Arab and Gulf nations.We highlighted the need for media to address issues of common interest, recognizing that challenges are not only external but also internal, impacting our societies. Maintaining accurate and responsible media discourse is essential in tackling these challenges effectively.Additionally, we reiterated Iraq’s commitment to engaging with its Arab, regional, and international surroundings, working to establish strong partnerships based on mutual interests while upholding its sovereignty. We also praised the success of the Gulf Cup 25 and its lasting impact on both visitors and hosts.
