التقي سماحة السيد عمار الحكيم  عددا من رجال الأعمال العراقيين يتقدمهم رئيس رابطة المصارف العراقية الأستاذ وديع الحنظل، واستمع إلى رؤيتهم حول إصلاح القطاع المصرفي في العراق لمواكبة حالة التطور العمراني والتنموي في البلاد، وفي جميع المحافظات.شدد على أهمية مواكبة التطور العالمي في هذا القطاع الحيوي وربط المنظومة المصرفية العراقية بالمنظومة المصرفية العالمية، ودعى للعمل على توسيع الشمول المالي للمصارف، وتشجيع المواطنين على إيداع أموالهم في المصارف العراقية وتحويل ذلك إلى ثقافة مجتمعية. قال أيضا بأهمية منح القروض للشباب ولقطاع السكن، حيث إن الأخير يحرك الكثير من القطاعات الإنتاجية الأخرى، ويوفر فرص العمل.

This morning, we met with several Iraqi businessmen, headed by Mr. Wadi' Al-Handhal, President of the Iraqi Private Banks League. We listened to their perspective on reforming the banking sector in Iraq to align with the country's ongoing urban and developmental progress across all provinces.We emphasized the need for the Iraqi banking system to keep pace with global advancements and to integrate with the international financial network. We also highlighted the importance of expanding financial inclusion, encouraging citizens to deposit their funds in Iraqi banks, and shifting this into a widespread societal culture.Additionally, we underscored the significance of providing loans to youth and the housing sector, noting that the latter plays a vital role in driving various other productive industries and generating employment opportunities.
