خلال لقاء سماحة السيد عمار الحكيم  رئيسَ لجنة مكافحة المخدرات و المؤثرات العقلية النيابية الشيخ عدنان الجحيشي، أكد أهميةَ هذه اللجنة وباقي المؤسسات المعنية في مكافحة هذه الآفة الخطيرة.  شدد على الأداء التكاملي بين ما هو تشريعي وما هو تنفيذي، ودعى إلى التفريق بين المتعاطي والمتاجر وضرورة فرز المساحات بينهما، كما دعى إلى حملات تثقيفية لمواجهة هذا الخطر الداهم.  أكد أيضًا على ضرورة التواصل الإقليمي والدولي لكشف شبكات الاتجار الدولية، كما دعى  إلى منظومة إقليمية متكاملة لمواجهة هذا التحدي.

During our meeting this evening with Sheikh Adnan Al-Juhaishi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, we emphasized the critical role of this committee and other relevant institutions in addressing this dangerous scourge.We stressed the importance of synergy between legislative and executive efforts, calling for a clear distinction between users and traffickers and the need to separate their legal and social handling. Additionally, we urged awareness campaigns to confront this growing threat.Furthermore, we highlighted the necessity of regional and international cooperation to uncover global trafficking networks and called for a comprehensive regional framework to tackle this challenge effectively.
