تطورات المشهد السياسي في العراق والمنطقة والاستحقاقات القادمة، كانت أبرز الملفات التي بحثناها مع دولة رئيس الوزراء الأسبق الدكتور عادل عبد المهدي، حيث جددنا التأكيد على حفظ الاستقرار الحالي الذي تشهده البلاد على الصعد الأمنية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية، وبيّنا أن ذلك يمثل أولوية مهمة يتحمل مسؤوليتها الجميع، وندعو لتعزيزها وتطويرها.أكدنا ضرورة إجراء الانتخابات في موعدها المحدد، وقلنا إن العراق أجرى الممارسة الانتخابية في ظروف أصعب، وأن هذه الممارسة ستكون فاصلة بين الاستقرار واللاستقرار .إقليميا جددنا إدانتنا لاستئناف الاعتداءات في غزة، ودعونا المجتمع الدولي لإيقافها وتحمل المسؤولية تجاه الإبادة الجماعية التي يتعرض لها الشعب الفلسطيني.

The political developments in Iraq and the wider region, along with the upcoming milestones, were central to our discussion with former Prime Minister Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi. We reiterated the importance of safeguarding the current state of stability that Iraq is experiencing on the security, social, and economic fronts, emphasizing that this is a collective responsibility and a national priority that must be reinforced and advanced.We stressed the necessity of holding elections as scheduled, affirming that Iraq has successfully conducted elections under even more challenging conditions. We noted that this electoral process will represent a critical juncture between stability and potential unrest.Regionally, we renewed our condemnation of the ongoing assaults in Gaza and urged the international community to act decisively to end the aggression and uphold its responsibility in confronting the genocide inflicted upon the Palestinian people.
